Summer is slowly coming to an end, so why not take advantage of the last warm days before the brisk weather kicks in?
One of my favorite places to take walks through is Riverside Park because of how lovely the park is when the trees and flowers are in bloom. As usual, I always aim for comfort when putting together outfits. I figure I be more daring and wear a piece that I would not normally wear–a romper.
I never was a fan of rompers until I found this one. This royal blue romper is a perfect piece to transition from Summer to Fall since it can be paired with many patterns and colors. In addition, depending on the romper, you can dress it up for a special occasion or dress it down for a simple walk through a park.
My romper is from Express and it was a new addition to my wardrobe since I picked it out for a bride’s maid dress. I decided to pair this romper with my flannel cardigan from Khols to make it more casual. My black and white Vans completed the entire outfit by complimenting the flannel cardigan and the romper since royal blue and black just simply just go together.
Here’s to last days of summer–hope you’re all enjoying the warm days that left. 🙂
After two long weeks of final projects and exams for graduate school, it was nice to finally take a stroll through another New York City site–The Cloisters!
The Cloisters, if you’ve never been, is definitely a unique experience. I found the architecture of the museum completely mesmerizing. It is located on top of a hill in Fort Tryon Park, so I wanted to be comfortable walking around the museum as well as through the park.
I decided to rock my lounge pants that are pretty much a staple for me during transitional weather. This was a chilly morning on an overcast day, so it seemed like the perfect day to wear them. Lounge pants, in my own opinion, are the perfect kinds of pants. They are loose fitting, flexible and comfortable–plus can be worn in numerous ways!
My navy blue lounge pants are from Uniqlo, which I paired with a beige Airism tank top also from Uniqlo– (not sponsored by the way—I just really like their clothes). I went with a pair of women’s loafers that are perfect for walking and added a bit of texture to my outfit as well as a clutch from Madison West. Both those items were purchased at DSW.
Of course for some added comfort and warmth, I wrapped it all up in a cozy knitted grey and white sweater from Target. The added layer made a great difference when walking through the park.
Now that the semester is over, the last couple of weeks of August feels infinite. Hopefully, I can make couple more posts before the semester starts up again. We’ll see. Thank you for visiting and I hoped you were inspired! Till our next adventure! 🙂
